Making business decision in transport and traffic companies strongly depends on the information related to the expenses of vehicle exploitation. General consideration indicates that customers try to minimize the expenses by adjusting the vehicle characteristics and the exploitation parameters, and taking into account the surrounding restrictions. In order to accomplish these goals successfully, appropriate information, software tools, and above all knowledge are requested. Following the fuel expenses, the tire expenses are ranked as the second highest expense in the vehicle exploitation. Level of these expenses depends on a number of different and mutually dependent factors, which might be predicted to a certain degree and only partially influenced. Information systems and programs for analyses and predictions represent an absolute necessity in achieving these goals.
