The cost for production of public transport tickets system in Belgrade is an average about 30 thousands euros per month. Introducing information technology in domain of tickets sale and tickets control significant costs would be reduced. Also, the usage of information technology for public transport tickets will increase resistance on counterfeit tickets. The public transport tickets in Belgrade should be adopted to that kind of technology identification which is: a) open architecture, b) the costs for reissuing tickets should be zero and c) monitoring passengers control in operating center should be in real time. Changes in traffic and transport are dynamically and for that all solutions must be based on scalability, reliable communications and high availability of system.
