This paper discusses to the two constructive-technical-exploitation groups maintenance convenience, today very present vehicles in rolling-stocks in Serbia, within the real, very complex business system. Within the observing system there is a large rolling-stock which includes a particular system, the group of special kind of trash collecting vehicles. The research concerns this vehicle group. Two statistical methods are used in the research: the empiric and Waybul's partition. The research aim is to provide the management with the valid information due to which strategic development decisions could be defined in the investment domain. Further, the research is expected to initiate the other research activities connected with other specific vehicle groups in different surroundings, that is systems.
