NEW MULTISYSTEM ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE FOR SERBIAN RAILWAYS
Abstract
The paper describes Serbian Railways transportation potential and main electrification systems of South-Europe railway lines. The Corridor X, which goes through Serbia, is also shown. Basic operational work parameters of existing electric locomotives, at Serbian Railways network, are given in the paper. On the basis of electric locomotive needs till year 2020 selection of appropriate multisystem locomotive, with basic technical characteristics, is performed. Finaly, procurement effects of new multisystem electric locomotives are given.
